Contract and Permanent IT Roles

At the Knowledge Warehouse, we're regularly approached by clients to deliver solutions in specialist areas, As such, we have an extensive skill set across the team, but this is never complete in the IT world. So, we’re constantly on the lookout for skilled professionals to join our team.

  • Associates are contracted to Knoware yet work in a client site, providing services as contracted between Knoware and the client. Knoware manages the overall client relationship, billing, performance measurement and monitoring
  • Employees are salaried members of the Knoware team, but conduct themselves in the same manner each day on client sites, providing value from their BI and data warehousing skills and experience

Associate or Employee?

Your first decision will be whether you would like to join Knoware as an Employee or as an Associate.

As an Employee:

  • You have the benefits of regular pay at a known rate
  • You enjoy the protection of the Employment Relations Act 2000 such as holiday pay and sick leave and
  • You have very little, if any, to do with administration
  • The risk of continuity of work lies with Knoware. If Knoware doesn’t have a suitable opportunity at a particular point in time, your employment still continues.

As an Associate:

  • You enjoy higher hourly rates and the flexibility that comes with not being an Employee, however you:
    • will have to look after tax and ACC payments yourself
    • are not entitled to holiday or sick leave as part of your contract with Knoware, and will need to provision for these yourself
    • can most probably claim certain expenses involving your work as tax deductible and
    • will have to do your own tax returns
  • The ultimate risk of continuity of work lies with you. While we use our best endeavours to secure you continuity of work, if we can’t find matching assignments, you won’t get paid

If you're interested in becoming either a permanent employee or an Associate, click on the 'contact us' menu item for more details, or send your CV and covering letter to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
